Biodiversity themed calendar and diary unveiled

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu  unveiled the 2026 Calendar published by the Andhra Pradesh Legislature. The Chief Minister, along with Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu, released the wall calendar, table calendar and diary at the CM Camp Office. Minister Payyavula Keshav and Legislature (Council) Secretary-General Prasanna Kumar Suryadevara were present on the occasion.

The Calendar focusing on the  theme  “Biodiversity – Andhra Pradesh’s Living Heritage”  features illustrations of twelve wildlife species representing the State’s diverse ecosystems, including the Eastern Ghats, vast grasslands, Coringa mangrove forests and the long coastline along the Bay of Bengal. The calendar blends natural heritage, artistic tradition and modernity, with visuals created in the traditional Kalamkari style.

Secretary-General Prasanna Kumar explained that Artificial Intelligence (AI) was used in creating the artwork. The Chief Minister appreciated the elegant design of the 2026 calendar and said it carries a strong message on the need to protect nature. He noted that the calendar effectively highlights environmental conservation, wildlife protection and also explains the impacts of climate change. He added that it serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to safeguard nature.

Speaker Ayyanna Patrudu said the 2026 calendar reflects the Legislature’s commitment to environmental and wildlife conservation. He stated that the initiative aims to raise public awareness about the importance of protecting wildlife and preserving nature and at the same time showcases the Legislature’s efforts to sensitize society towards environmental protection.
