Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Friday strongly condemned the alleged highhandedness of police in arresting Ganesh Kunde and other Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) leaders who were planning a protest. The officials were acting more like Congress party workers than law enforcement force, he remarked.

The protest was reportedly aimed at condemning the Congress party’s conduct during the "AI Global Summit" in New Delhi. In a statement issued in Hyderabad, Rao demanded immediate suspension and inquiry against police personnel accused of verbal and physical abuse of BJYM leaders.

Alleging that the police acted under the instigation of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Rao termed the incident “heinous” and accused the officers of using third-degree methods inside a police van. He warned that the BJP, being a national party in power at the Centre, would not tolerate such actions and sought criminal proceedings against the responsible officials.
