Metro India News | Hyderabad

BlueDrop Waters, a division of BlueDrop Enviro Private Limited, has partnered with the Virtusa Foundation to rejuvenate Ranglal Kunta Lake in Hyderabad’s Financial District. This collaborative initiative aims to restore the lake’s ecological health and water quality through Biotech Integrated De-stratifying Aeration Technology (BIDAT)—a breakthrough, eco-friendly solution developed by BlueDrop Waters.

BIDAT integrates advanced micro-aeration with catabolic enzymatic processes to naturally break down pollutants, reduce harmful bacteria, control E-Coli levels, and digest accumulated organic sludge. The system remains effective even under continuous sewage inflow, ensuring sustained remediation and revitalization of aquatic biodiversity within months.

Speaking on the occasion, Srikanth Pakala, Co-founder and Chairman of BlueDrop Enviro Pvt. Ltd., said, ‘At BlueDrop, we believe in giving water a second life. Our solutions transform polluted water bodies into self-sustaining ecosystems that benefit both the environment and local communities.’

Under Pakala’s leadership, BlueDrop Waters is driving sustainable change across India through innovations like Aerated Wetlands for Sewage Treatment, BIDAT for Lake Remediation, and Net Zero principles for achieving campus-level water neutrality. With over 100 successful projects nationwide, BlueDrop continues to demonstrate real-world impact and scalability in water sustainability.

The Ranglal Kunta Lake Rejuvenation Project marks another proud milestone in BlueDrop’s mission—reviving Hyderabad’s lakes and advancing the city’s vision for cleaner, greener, and healthier water ecosystems. Special appreciation goes to Virtusa Foundation for funding this initiative and inspiring more corporates to champion similar environmental restoration efforts.
