Bombs found at Srisailam Temple

Gun bullets and bombs were found on Monday near Vasavi Satra at Bhramarambika Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam which is one of the most famous pilgrimage site in the country. The devotees who came to the temple today found bullets at the divider on the back side of the crowded Vasavi Satra.

This sudden revelation made the devotees agitated. Early in the morning, the sanitation workers at the shrine were removing the garbage from the surrounding areas. At that time, sanitation workers found a bag in the bushes of trees near Vasavi Satra. 

The workers checked the bag with suspicion as to what was inside it. The bag contained four 9 mm bullets, four eggplant bombs, four SLR bullets and a gun pouch in a red flag. The sanitation workers informed the authorities. The Devasthanam authorities informed the local police.

Police personnel rushed to the spot and launched an investigation into the incident. Atmakur DSP Ramanji Nayak said that special teams have launched an investigation into how these eggplant bombs and bullets came into the famous shrine of Srisailam. Being a popular pilgrimage site, VIPs from all over the world visit the temple. The police are reportedly scanning the CC TV footage and investigating the matter.
