Former SC/ST Commission Chairman and senior BRS leader Errolla Srinivas has strongly opposed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's statements on irrigation projects related to the Godavari River.

Srinivas dismissed Naidu’s claim that he never obstructed water projects as misleading. He pointed out that Naidu had consistently opposed multiple irrigation initiatives in Telangana, particularly on the Krishna and Godavari rivers.

He accused Naidu of writing to the central government to hinder the Kaleshwaram project despite its legal approvals. Additionally, he alleged that Naidu had attempted to stop both the Bhakta Ramadasu Project and the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.

Srinivas criticized Naidu for suddenly shifting his stance on Telangana’s water projects and pretending to support the state’s development. He argued that Naidu’s claims regarding the Banakacharla project were false, stating that it lacked proper approvals and could harm Telangana’s water resources.

The BRS leader also took aim at Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress-led state government, accusing them of remaining silent while Naidu pursued policies that could negatively impact Telangana. He called their inaction a betrayal of the state’s interests.
