The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) held an extensive meeting of party general secretaries on Tuesday under the chairmanship of party president K. Chandrashekar Rao. The meeting, which continued for nearly six hours, deliberated on several key organizational and political issues and adopted a series of important resolutions aimed at strengthening the party structure across Telangana.

A major focus of the meeting was the modernization and digitization of the party’s membership enrollment process. In view of the Election Commission of India’s ongoing digital initiatives, including the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) and voter list updation process, the BRS leadership decided that the party membership drive should also be conducted entirely through a digital platform to ensure transparency, efficiency, and future readiness.

The meeting resolved to appoint membership coordinators from the state committee for every Assembly constituency in Telangana. Additionally, constituency level membership coordination committees will be formed within the next two to three days in every mandal and municipal body to ensure smooth implementation of the enrollment programme.

As part of the digital membership initiative, the party leadership also decided to conduct extensive training programmes for party workers across the state. Telangana currently has 35,655 polling booths, and the party plans to train two workers from each booth, covering a total of 71,310 cadre members. These training sessions will focus on the operational procedures and technical aspects of the digital membership process.

The meeting further decided that specialized training camps for digital membership enrollment would continue under the supervision of the party’s general secretaries to ensure uniform implementation across all districts.

The BRS leadership also announced district wise in charges for overseeing the membership registration programme. Senior leaders, including former ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and party general secretaries, have been assigned responsibilities for different clusters of districts across Telangana.
