CARE Hospitals, Banjara Hills, has successfully performed an Atrial Fibrillation (AF) Ablation using the newly launched Q Dot technology. The procedure was performed on a 57-year-old woman with persistent atrial fibrillation and biatrial cardiomyopathy. She is now stable and maintaining normal sinus rhythm under the care of Dr. M Srinivasa Rao, Regional Clinical Director & Senior Interventional Cardiologist.

Q Dot enables high-power, short-duration catheter ablations with enhanced temperature control and precision, allowing complex AF procedures to be completed more safely and efficiently, reducing risks associated with prolonged anesthesia and radiation exposure.

Dr. Ramakrishna SVK, Clinical Director, Cardiac Electrophysiology, said the technology brings higher accuracy and consistency, particularly for patients with long-standing arrhythmias. Biju Nair, Zonal COO, noted it underscores CARE Hospitals’ leadership in adopting next-generation cardiac care. This innovation promises improved outcomes for patients with symptomatic or persistent AF, supporting both clinical teams and families in advanced treatment planning.
