Centralized community kitchen inaugurated in Medak

A state-of-the-art centralized community kitchen with an installed capacity of 40,000 meals was inaugurated at Medak Market Yard on Saturday to provide nutritious breakfast to 29,183 government school and junior college students. Minister for Labour, Employment, Training and Factories, Mines and Geology Gaddam Vivek Venkataswamy inaugurated the facility in the presence of Medak MLA Mynampally Rohith, HKMCF India President Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Swamiji, government officials and other dignitaries.

The kitchen will serve students across 395 government schools and 10 junior colleges in 11 mandals of the Medak and Narsapur constituencies. The project is being implemented through a partnership between the Telangana government and Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation India (HKMCF India).Minister Vivek said the government was committed to providing fresh, hygienic and nutritious breakfast to schoolchildren and that the program was being expanded through centralized kitchens across Telangana.

Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa said HKMCF India was privileged to support several government nutrition initiatives and expressed gratitude to the Telangana government for its support. He said the new facility would contribute to building a healthier and better-nourished generation. .
