Chilkalguda Police reunite missing 85-year-old with family

In a commendable humanitarian effort, the Chilkalguda Police traced an 85-year-old missing man and safely reunited him with his family after he was found wandering alone in the city.

Shaik Ismail, a resident of Khadri Bagh in Amberpet, had left home on May 22 for evening Namaz but failed to return. He was later spotted wandering in the Chilkalguda area, following which police took him into protective care.

Under the guidance of Chilkalguda Division Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) K. Shashank Reddy and Chilkalguda SHO V. Ramakrishna, special efforts were initiated to identify the elderly man and trace his family members.

Initially unable to reveal his full address, Ismail later informed police that he lived in Moula Ali and that his son worked as an auto driver. Acting on the clue, Sub-Inspector Chandraiah and Home Guard Officer Pitchaiah took him to the Moula Ali area, where local auto drivers identified him and informed his sons.

Meanwhile, his son Shaik Kaleem had approached Amberpet Police to file a missing complaint, but later withdrew it after learning that his father had been traced and safely reunited with the family.
