Telugu actor Konidela Chiranjeevi lauded Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision and determination, calling him a blessing who unified over 560 fragmented regions into a single nation. On Friday, the Hyderabad City Police commemorated the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India and architect of a united nation, with a grand ‘Run for Unity’ at People’s Plaza in Necklace Road.
Chiranjeevi graced the event as chief guest and also emphasized police vigilance against cybercrime, particularly the rising threat of ‘Deep Fake’ cases, and praised law enforcement for promoting ‘Unity in Diversity.’ The nationwide observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was mirrored by parallel activities across seven police zones in the city. Approximately 5,000 citizens participated, demonstrating their commitment to national unity, integrity, and security, inspired by Patel’s pivotal role in integrating India’s princely states.
B Sivadhar Reddy, Director General of Police, Telangana, served as guest of honour and highlighted the event as a call to uphold national unity. Meanwhile, V C Sajjanar, Commissioner of Police, advised youth to follow Patel’s ideals and cautioned against cybercrime risks, especially the misuse of ‘Mule Accounts.’
