Maharashtra Minister for IT, Cultural Affairs and Cinematography Ashish Shelar on Friday met Telangana Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy at the Secretariat and discussed measures to boost the film industry in both states.

During the meeting, both Ministers exchanged views on film policy, incentives and infrastructure development to encourage film production. Komatireddy explained that under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Telangana has been giving special emphasis to the growth of the film sector, with locations like Rachakonda emerging as prime destinations for movie shoots.

He highlighted that Ramoji Film City, built to international standards, has become a hub for both Bollywood and Hollywood productions, and that the State government is actively working to make Telangana a world-class film hub. The government, he said, has introduced special incentives, subsidies and welfare schemes for film workers and production houses.

Shelar appreciated Telangana’s proactive measures and said his visit aimed to study these initiatives for possible adoption in Maharashtra. He also invited Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy to visit the Maharashtra Film City and explore opportunities for collaboration between the two states in the entertainment sector.
