Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to depart for Singapore late tonight at 11 PM from Hyderabad, leading a high-level delegation aimed at boosting investment opportunities under the “Brand AP” initiative. The Chief Minister will be accompanied by ministers Nara Lokesh, T.G. Bharat, P. Narayana, and senior bureaucrats during this five-day visit.
The primary agenda of the tour is to attract global investments and strengthen ties with the Telugu diaspora across Southeast Asia. As part of his engagements, CM Naidu is scheduled to meet with top industrialists, corporate leaders, and key representatives from multinational firms operating across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other Southeast Asian nations.
One of the highlights of the visit is a major diaspora summit, Telugu Diaspora from Southeast Asia, which will witness participation from Telugu entrepreneurs and professionals from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand. The event, organized under the aegis of APNRT (Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society), is expected to draw around 1,500 delegates.
Elaborate arrangements are currently underway at the One World International School in Singapore, where the flagship diaspora summit will be held. Discussions will focus on expanding job opportunities for Andhra Pradesh’s youth not only within India but also in foreign countries. The Chief Minister is also expected to urge the Telugu diaspora and NRIs to actively participate in the development of Andhra Pradesh and join hands with the state government’s ambitious P4 (People’s Participation for Progress and Prosperity) campaign.
During the meetings, key topics such as boosting exports from Andhra Pradesh, skilling initiatives, and employment generation through global collaborations will be deliberated. The delegation will also explore partnerships in logistics, ports, sports infrastructure, and other critical sectors by visiting various facilities and innovation hubs in Singapore.
