Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu outlined key developmental initiatives and the vision for Andhra Pradesh at the Skill Training Center in Naravaripalle, Chandragiri constituency.
Speaking at a press meet on the occasion of Sankranti, he highlighted how people returning to their native villages for the festival have become a positive tradition. Emphasizing happiness and progress for every household and village, the CM said the Swarnandhra Pradesh Vision 2047 aims to create a wealthy, healthy, and happy society. He drew parallels to his earlier Vision 2020, which significantly boosted Telangana’s per capita income, and stressed using advanced technology to position Telugu people as leading entrepreneurs globally.
Naidu detailed government efforts, including ‘Super 6’ welfare schemes and enhanced pensions ranging from Rs 4,000 to Rs 15,000 per month, benefiting 64 lakh people. The state spends Rs 33,000 crore annually on pensions, ensuring timely disbursal on the first of every month. Using IVRS feedback, he claimed the pension system is rated highly nationwide.
The CM highlighted other welfare measures, such as Anna Canteens providing meals at Rs 5, plans to establish one canteen per constituency, and the Deepam 2 scheme offering three free gas cylinders annually. He mentioned the release of Rs 6,700 crore for pending payments to employees, contractors, and farmers, including Rs 996 crore for Polavaram project evacuees.
Addressing local issues, Naidu announced plans for piped gas connections, solar rooftops under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, and 24-hour water supply. Pilot projects in Naravaripalle, including creating one entrepreneur per household, enhancing dairy and agriculture activities, and constructing 286 houses for the homeless, are underway.
Education and health sectors are also receiving attention. Naidu revealed plans to develop a model school in Rangampeta and improve local hospital facilities, including free meals for patients. Technology-driven governance reforms, including WhatsApp-based access to 150 public services like certificates, are set to launch on January 18.
The CM stressed the importance of cleanliness, with plans to collect waste and convert into compost as a part of zero-waste initiative. He also highlighted public-private partnerships, aiming to uplift poor communities. He called for cleanliness initiatives, waste composting, and promoting zero-budget natural farming. Programs like “One Family, One Entrepreneur” and skill training for youth aim to enhance employment opportunities.
