Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has strongly pitched the state as one of the most attractive destinations for global investments, particularly in the semiconductor sector, inviting Singapore-based industrialists and technology companies to explore opportunities in the state. Addressing the prestigious Semicon Ecosystem Roundtable Conference in Singapore, the Chief Minister highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s strategic advantages, investor-friendly policies, world-class infrastructure, and rapid industrial growth plans.

Describing India as the safest and fastest-growing investment destination in the world, Chandrababu asserted that Andhra Pradesh stands out as one of the country’s most business-friendly states. He urged global investors to visit Andhra Pradesh within the next 30 days to witness firsthand the opportunities available across sectors. The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government has institutionalized a unique Speed of Doing Business model that ensures quick approvals, efficient governance, and seamless execution of industrial projects.

A major announcement made during the event was the proposed establishment of a semiconductor manufacturing facility in Rayalaseema, which is expected to transform the region into a major industrial hub. Chandrababu revealed that Rayalaseema is being positioned not only for semiconductor manufacturing but also for defense production, aerospace industries, electronics manufacturing, automobile components, drone technology, and even next-generation fighter aircraft manufacturing and testing facilities. He said the government is developing integrated industrial ecosystems that can support high-value manufacturing industries and generate large-scale employment.

The roundtable witnessed participation from several leading global semiconductor and technology companies, including GlobalFoundries, NXP, ASMPT, One Systems Technologies, Texend Photomask, and Aquatech, among others. Representatives of these companies reportedly showed keen interest in Andhra Pradesh’s industrial policies and infrastructure development plans.

Earlier, while addressing the CII Partnership Summit Roadshow in Singapore, Chandrababu invited Singaporean entrepreneurs to make Andhra Pradesh and Amaravati their preferred investment destination. He noted the longstanding partnership between Singapore and Andhra Pradesh, recalling Singapore’s role in Hyderabad’s development during united Andhra Pradesh and its contribution in designing the master plan for Amaravati after bifurcation.

Highlighting major ongoing projects, the Chief Minister announced that a Google Cloud AI Data Hub is being established in Andhra Pradesh and that nearly 10 GW of data center capacity is under development by various companies. He also referred to LG Electronics’ proposed ₹7,000-crore home appliance manufacturing facility at Sri City and the state’s plans to establish specialized universities focused on logistics, agriculture, energy, and civil aviation.

Chandrababu further outlined the ambitious Swarna Andhra Vision 2047, aligned with India’s Viksit Bharat mission, aiming to transform Andhra Pradesh into one of the nation’s leading economic engines. With more than 1,000 kilometers of coastline, six operational ports, seven airports, abundant natural resources, strong connectivity, and political stability, Andhra Pradesh offers unmatched advantages for investors.

The Chief Minister also presented his vision for Amaravati as a global center for education, innovation, and technology. He revealed that IBM, TCS, and L&T are jointly establishing a 133-qubit Quantum Computer in Amaravati, expected to become operational later this year. The capital city is also being developed as a sustainable blue-green city with a strong emphasis on renewable energy, electric mobility, and advanced digital infrastructure.

On the sidelines of his Singapore visit, Chandrababu participated in the launch of the book “CBN @ 361 Degrees – Polymath,” which chronicles his leadership, governance style, and policy decisions.
