Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has appreciated Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu for significantly improving the speed of e-file clearances in the Agriculture Department, calling it an important step toward efficient and technology-driven governance. During the recent Collectors’ Conference, the Chief Minister highlighted how the state government is integrating technology into administration to reduce delays and improve public service delivery. He particularly praised Achchennaidu for setting a new benchmark in file disposal through the e-office system.
According to officials, the average time taken earlier for clearing e-files in departments was around five hours. However, under Achchennaidu’s leadership, the Agriculture Department reduced the average clearance time to just 2 hours and 49 minutes. The minister reportedly reviewed and approved departmental files at a much faster pace, helping the department emerge as one of the top performers in digital governance. Officials stated that the e-file system has brought greater transparency and accountability into government functioning.
Since every movement of a file can now be tracked digitally, delays can be identified and addressed immediately. The Agriculture Department has effectively utilized this technology to streamline decision-making and administrative approvals. The faster disposal of files is expected to directly benefit farmers, particularly in matters related to subsidy approvals, implementation of welfare schemes, permissions and other agriculture-related services. With ministers and senior officials acting promptly on files, lower-level officials are also being encouraged to process work more efficiently.
The Chief Minister reportedly observed that reducing administrative delays is essential for ensuring timely governance and improving public trust in the system. He said technology-driven reforms such as e-file management are helping the government provide faster and more transparent services to citizens. Officials added that files which previously remained pending for several days are now being resolved within hours, reflecting a major shift in administrative efficiency under the current governance model.
