Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday launched a major development drive in Narsampet, Warangal district, laying the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 532.24 crore. Addressing a massive public gathering as part of the ‘Praja Paalana – Praja Vijayotsava Sabha’, the Chief Minister said the government was committed to transforming Narsampet and the wider Warangal region with significant investments in infrastructure, education, and welfare.

Among the key projects unveiled were the Young India Integrated School to be constructed at a cost of Rs 200 crore and a new Government Medical College and hostel buildings worth Rs 130 crore. The CM also initiated major road expansion works, including the Hanamkonda–Narsampet–Mahabubabad stretch, the Narsampet–Pakhal route, and the Narsampet–Nekkonda road, totaling over Rs 150 crore. A Government Nursing College building and various town development works were also launched.

Speaking at the public meeting, Revanth Reddy said Warangal had always been a land of inspiration, drawing from the legacy of the Kakatiyas, Sammakka-Sarakka, Chakali Ailamma, and Prof. Jayashankar. He criticised the previous BRS government, alleging that its leaders focused on personal wealth instead of constituency development. He highlighted that farmers were now receiving MSP along with a Rs 500 bonus for fine paddy, 24-hour free power, and Rs 9,000 crore under Rythu Bharosa within just nine days.

The Chief Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to welfare, recalling that Congress had built 25 lakh Indiramma houses during the YSR era. The present government is constructing 3,500 houses in each constituency, with another 3,500 sanctioned for Narsampet. He also announced that Warangal would be developed on the lines of Hyderabad, with an Outer Ring Road, underground drainage, and an airport, with works set to begin by March 31.

Revanth Reddy emphasised the government’s mission to economically empower one crore women through schemes such as free RTC travel, opportunities to operate buses, petrol bunks, and solar plants, and distribution of one crore Indiramma sarees. He urged people to prioritise education, avoid political rifts, and elect leaders focused on development.
