Medchal-Malkajgiri District Collector Manu Chowdary said on Monday that there is sufficient stock of urea fertilizer for the district and assured that farmers need not worry.  The District Collector informed that 773 metric tonnes of urea is available in the district till date and instructed that the farmers should be provided with a shamiyana and drinking water facility at every sale counter without any inconvenience. 

The collector also made it clear that urea sales at the counter should start from 6.00 am and assured that the distribution of urea is being continuously monitored by the concerned officials and Agriculture Department staff.The Collector warned that strict action would be taken against those indulging in irregularities such as creating artificial scarcity and selling at exorbitant prices. 

He advised the farmers to contact the nearest agriculture officer if they face any problem in supply of urea. The Collector also urged the farmers not to buy urea beyond the requirement and to use it in a scientific manner.
