Collector inspects NEET centre ahead of test

Ahead of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), scheduled to be conducted on Sunday, June 21, 2026, District Collector Rahul Sharma inspected the NEET examination centre at the Government Degree College in the district headquarters on Saturday. During the visit, he reviewed the control room and examination halls and assessed the preparedness of officials for the smooth conduct of the examination. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector stated that the NEET examination would be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m and that candidates will be permitted to enter the examination centers between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

He informed that a total of 388 candidates are expected to appear for the examination at two centers across the district. He further instructed authorities to allow candidates into the examination halls only after thorough verification and security screening. Biometric authentication will be mandatory for all candidates before entry. The Collector directed officials to establish medical camps equipped with essential medicines at every examination centre and ensure the availability of ambulances for emergency services.

To maintain law and order, the Collector stated that security arrangements would be in place at each examination centre under the supervision of the Tahsildar, Sub-Inspector and a team of four police personnel.
