NTR District Collector Dr.G. Lakshmi said in a statement on Sunday that on the occasion of World Photography Day, awards will be presented at the district level to the photographers who have excelled. The collector asked the photographers in the district to send their entries by July 31. Competitions will be held in three categories. In the first section, photo entries can be sent on the tourist areas of the district, SwachhAndhra/Swachh NTR and Yogaandhra issues. 

In the second section, the photos about “Thalliki Vandanam” scheme or related to education, NTR Bharosa pensions and Deepam-2 scheme are to be sent and in the third section there will be the best news photo competition. In each category, the first prize will be a cash award of Rs. 10,000, the second Rs. 7,000 and the third Rs. 4,000) Along with these, incentives of Rs 2,000 each will be given to six people, he said. A photographer can send three photos from one section and nine photos from all the three sections. 

Photographs should be taken between June 12, 2024 and July 31, 2025. The photo size should be 12X10 and the photos should be taken only in NTR district and used only for publicity. Watermarking and morphing are not permitted. Collector Lakshmisha suggested that the final decision on the selection of the best photographs will be taken by the judges and the original photo entries can be submitted either directly or by post to the address of the DPRO office, State Guest House, Vijayawada-520002.
