District Collector Ashish Sangwan has instructed health officials to ensure full registration of pregnant women across the district.
During the "Public Governance – Progress Plan" program on Wednesday, the Collector visited the Primary Health Centre in Devunipalli and the Shabdipur Village Clinic, inspecting maternal and child health services. He inquired about medical services provided to pregnant women and adolescents and supervised a hemoglobin test for a pregnant woman, emphasizing anemia prevention.
Sugar testing kits and other health tools were also checked. The Collector highlighted the importance of timely vaccination for children and complete registration of pregnant women according to population norms. He further directed village heads, health committee members, and medical staff to raise awareness about nutrition, seasonal diseases, tuberculosis, and leprosy, ensuring effective community-level implementation.
The program was attended by District Medical and Health Officer Dr. D. Ravinder Goud, Program Officer Dr. Raju, Medical Officer DPO Padmaja, local Sarpanch, women’s association representatives, and Anganwadi workers.
