District Collector Chitra Mishra has urged every citizen in the district to actively participate in the upcoming Census 2027 by voluntarily registering their details through Self-Enumeration (Swīya Gaṇana). Speaking at a power point presentation organized on Sunday to explain the self-enumeration process, the Collector called upon the people of the district to come forward in large numbers and take part in this important national exercise. She explained that under the self-enumeration facility, every household can register their own housing and family details online through their mobile phones.
Describing it as an easy, safe and transparent method, she noted that the process involves answering 34 questions related to the household’s socio economic conditions. She suggested citizens to visit the official portal https://se.census.gov.in, log in using their mobile number, geo-tag their house on the map, and enter the required details. Upon successful submission, an 11-digit Self-Enumeration ID (starting with ‘H’) will be generated. Citizens were advised to safely preserve this SE ID and provide it to the enumerator when they visit the house during the house-listing phase.
District Collector Chitra Mishra formally launched the self-enumeration drive in the district on Sunday by personally completing her own registration. Additional Collector (Revenue) Srinivas Reddy, Revenue Divisional Officer Maheshwar, District Planning Officer Ram Dattatreya Reddy, and other senior officials also registered their details on the occasion.
