Karimnagar Two Town Police solved a major theft case reported at Sri Chaitanya College in the Mankammathota area and arrested a repeat offender involved in the crime.

The accused, identified as 32-year-old Boddula Yugender from Durshed village, was taken into custody. Police recovered Rs 5 lakh in cash and a 10-gram gold chain from his possession.

According to police, Yugender is a habitual offender with a criminal record in multiple theft cases and had earlier served jail time under the PD Act. Despite his release, he allegedly continued his involvement in criminal activities.

On April 26, during the early hours, he reportedly broke into the college office after damaging the locks. He stole cash and a gold chain kept in a locker and later hid the stolen property behind his house in a pile of firewood.

Based on credible information, police apprehended him and recovered the stolen items. During interrogation, he also confessed to a temple hundi theft. Officials warned that strict action would continue against habitual offenders.
