Hyderabad Police Commissioner C V Anand visited the newly renovated Ram Gopal Pet Police Station on James Street, Secunderabad. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has completed the restoration work and handed over the building to the Hyderabad City Police.

Originally built in 1900, the James Street Police Station functioned as the Ram Gopal Pet Police Station for 116 years before moving to a rented building on Minister Road in 2016 due to structural repairs. Commissioner Anand recalled organizing many programs in the historic building during his tenure as DCP Central Zone, highlighting its significance.

He announced that belongings from the temporary station would soon be shifted back, with an official inauguration led by Hyderabad District In-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.
