‘Committee Kurrollu’ honoured with two national awards

The cast and crew of Committee Kurrollu came together to celebrate the film's historic achievement of winning two National Film Awards at a special event hosted by Pink Elephant Pictures in association with Radha Damodar Studios. The celebrations were attended by producer Niharika Konidela, director Yadhu Vamsee, producers Phani Adapaka and Manyam Ramesh, writers, technicians, actors and media representatives, who reflected on the film's remarkable journey from a newcomer-driven project to a National Award-winning success.

Director Yadhu Vamsee said the National Awards belonged to every member of the team and not to any one individual. He credited the producers for trusting his vision and backing a film with nearly 20 newcomers, adding that every department—from actors to technicians and the makeup team—played a vital role in the achievement.

Producer Niharika Konidela described Committee Kurrollu as the most fulfilling project of her career, saying she became emotionally invested in the film after hearing its story. She said the team's hard work, extensive promotions and belief in authentic storytelling helped the film reach audiences and ultimately earn the country's highest cinematic honour. Niharika added that the success strengthened her commitment to producing meaningful cinema.

Producer Phani Adapaka said the achievement belonged to the entire team and highlighted the power of strong storytelling. Music director Anudeep Dev, cinematographer Raj Edrolu, writers Kondal Rao and Subhash, along with several actors, said Committee Kurrollu transformed their careers, opened new opportunities and fulfilled dreams they never imagined possible.
