BJP Telangana State president N. Ramachandra Rao today came down heavily on the ruling Congress party for organising a public meeting in the State capital and alleged that the meeting was meant to undermine social justice. He also alleged that Telangana State was as an indestructible vessel for the Congress party’s exploitation.
Rao claimed that the ruling party failed to implement any promise and guarantees made to the people of the State. He alleged that the Congress party did extreme injustice to BCs of the State and put shackles around the SCs and STs of the State. He termed the social justice meeting of the Congress party as a mere drama in the name of Bheem.
In a statement, he alleged that the Congress party had murdered democracy by imposing Emergency in the country. “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan” slogans have been undermined. The Congress has murdered justice and constitutional values. The Congress party repeatedly utters slogans that deceive the people and its real tendency is to work against them. The Congress, which is destroying social justice, is trying to deceive the people of Telangana once again by saying "social justice war". A government that has not been able to effectively implement a single promise in its one-and-a-half year rule, what answer will it give to the people,” he asked.
He alleged that the Congress party, which is chanting "Jai Bapu", had weakened the village self-government dream of Mahatma Gandhi. Not holding local body elections in the State and keeping Rs 1,200 crore pending the village development bills, all these are against the spirit of Gandhi.
