Continental Hospitals hosts ‘Indo–US Healthcare Leadership Meet’

Hyderabad hosted a landmark Indo–US healthcare leadership meet as the leadership of the American Medical Association (AMA), led by its President Dr. Bobby Mukkamala, came together for a high-level interaction with Indian physician leaders. The event marked a significant step toward reinforcing collaboration between India and the United States in advancing healthcare leadership, standards, and patient care.

The event was attended by over 300 distinguished physician leaders from Hyderabad, Telangana and across the country, representing leading medical associations, hospitals and healthcare institutions.In his keynote address, Dr. Mukkamala highlighted the AMA’s long-standing commitment to physician well-being, patient-centric healthcare delivery, and the promotion of high ethical and professional standards. 

Continental Hospitals Founder and Chairman Dr. Guru N. Reddy described the AMA as a global beacon of patient safety, professionalism and ethical medical practice, and urged the Indian healthcare community to imbibe and uphold these values while aligning with global standards.

Leaders from national medical bodies and healthcare institutions spoke on key themes including the role of accreditation in improving healthcare quality, positioning India as a preferred global healthcare destination, and expanding India’s leadership in medical tourism, research, and academic excellence. 

The meet also featured addresses that emphasized the growing Indo–US partnership across multiple sectors, particularly healthcare, and the shared values of strengthening healthcare access, improving medical education, and promoting innovation and excellence in patient care. 

A major highlight of the event was the recognition of physician leaders who have successfully bridged healthcare systems in India and the United States through clinical excellence, academic contributions, and policy advocacy.
