Convergence meeting held on drug law enforcement agencies

13-06-2025 12:00:00 AM

Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TGANB) on Thursday, conducted the first convergence meeting of drug law enforcement agencies at a mini conference hall in TGiCCC in Banjara Hills.

The challenge of narcotic drug trafficking in India has grown increasingly complex, particularly in border-sharing and transit states. Inter-state syndicates, evolving trafficking routes, synthetic drug proliferation and use of digital tools demand enhanced synergy among law enforcement agencies of interlinked states.

The effectiveness of the NDPS Act and allied laws depends significantly on seamless coordination, timely intelligence sharing, and operational alignment among agencies/ANTF operating in such states.

In this context, the first Inter-state and Inter-agency coordination meeting is being organized to initiate a structured mechanism for collaborative enforcement efforts. This convergence meeting brings together stakeholders from interlinked states to foster operational collaboration, deliberate on emerging threats, and agree upon actionable strategies to combat drug trafficking in a unified and coordinated manner.

This marks a vital step towards building long-term partnerships and intelligence networks across state borders in the fight against narcotics.
