CREDAI Hyd welcomes TDR reforms

The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Association of India (CREDAI) Hyderabad on Sunday expressed its satisfaction with the TDR reforms carried as part of the landmark amendments issued in G.O number 95 by the department of Municipal Administration &Urban Development of the government of Telangana. It thanked the Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for the reforms. These reforms to the Telangana Building Rules-2012, CREDAI Hyderabad opined, mark a significant milestone in rationalizing Transferable Development Rights (TDR) and enhancing the ease of doing business in the real estate sector. 

Key highlights of G.O number 95 welcomed by the industry included redefinition of high-rise buildings, TDR utilization for mid-sized plots, permitting flexible setback relaxations in non high rise buildings through TDR, relaxation of up to 10% of permissible setbacks through TDR in high rise buildings, additional floors incentive, rationalized TDR loading and staggered compliance of 50% TDR submission at time of permission and remaining prior to occupancy certificate.
