All students studying from 8th standard to degree and PG in various educational institutions in Visakhapatnam city should be involved in this program

The Andhra Pradesh government is making arrangements to celebrate the 11th International Yoga Day a grand manner with the slogan "Yoga for One Earth, One Health" in Visakhapatnam on June 21. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest for the event. The state government is taking steps in a big way to create awareness about yoga among the people with the slogan "Yogaandhra-2025".
The campaign plan will be implemented for four weeks from 29th of May. For the first week from June 29, yoga awareness campaigns will be conducted at the district level, from June 5 for a week at the assembly constituency level, from June 12 at the village level for a week, and from June 17 at the level of educational institutions.
Chief Secretary K Vijayanand held a preliminary review meeting with the officials of the concerned departments on the arrangements to be made in this regard. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary K Vijayanand said that strict arrangements need to be made for the successful conduct of international yoga day celebrations in Visakhapatnam.
The government has appointed M T Krishna Babu, Special Chief Secretary of the Medical and Health department, as the nodal officer at the state level to oversee the arrangements. The Chief Secretary said that all students studying from 8th standard to degree and PG in various educational institutions in Visakhapatnam city should be involved in this program.
