Hyderabad: Cybercrime Police have arrested two men from Vashi, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, in connection with a nationwide trading fraud. The accused, Ravi Kumar Lal, 38, a realtor, and Shivendra Ashok Singh, 32, a businessman, were involved in 12 cases across India, including two in Telangana.

Police said Lal assisted an absconding accomplice from Pune, identified as Viraj, by operating a bank account through OTPs shared via an APK file, while Singh opened and supplied mule bank accounts to Lal. A 53-year-old Hyderabad resident approached the cybercrime police, alleging he was duped by two fraudulent groups posing as stock-market investment companies.

Between August 13 and 18, 2025, he was lured into depositing Rs 12.30 lakh into multiple accounts via a fake trading platform. After repeated demands and threats, the fraudsters cut off contact. Police registered a case and arrested the accused, seizing four mobile phones and three cheque books. Investigation continues.
