The American Oncology Institute (AOI), in collaboration with Hyderabad Cyclists Group and Bike_o_Holics, successfully hosted Pedal for Pink 2025, a 16 km cyclothon that united over 300 cyclists from across Hyderabad.

Riders from corporate teams, cycling clubs, and local communities came together to promote breast cancer awareness and early detection. The route began at AOI & Citizens Specialty Hospital, extended to Wipro Circle in the city’s IT corridor, and looped back to the start.

Chief guests Dhaassyam Geetha Bhascker and Riti Raj, joined participants, emphasizing solidarity for the cause. Highlighting alarming data from a JAMA Open Network study, experts noted that Hyderabad records India’s highest breast cancer incidence 54 cases per 100,000 women.

Dr. K V Krishnamani, Senior Consultant, Medical Oncology, urged women to prioritize regular screenings and healthy lifestyles. AOI also introduced three tailored screening packages for men and women of different age groups, promoting early diagnosis and prevention.

Pedal for Pink 2025 symbolized collective action toward awareness, fitness, and cancer-free communities.
