Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party President Pawan Kalyan once again demonstrated a compassionate side by personally visiting a young fan suffering from a rare genetic disorder and fulfilling his long-cherished wish of meeting him. Seventeen-year-old Niranjan, a resident of Hanuman Nagar in Hanumakonda, Telangana, has been battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a rare genetic condition that has severely affected his physical growth and left him bedridden.
As his health condition deteriorated, Niranjan expressed a heartfelt desire to meet Pawan Kalyan. After learning about the youngster’s wish through Jana Sena leaders in Telangana, Pawan Kalyan visited Niranjan’s residence on Wednesday.
During the visit, he spent considerable time with the teenager, offering emotional support and interacting closely with him and his family. The Deputy Chief Minister enquired about Niranjan’s medical condition and treatment, speaking with his parents, Ponugoti Rangopal and Manasa. He sought details regarding the healthcare being provided and explored possible ways to support the family. Encouraging them to remain strong, he expressed hope and prayed for the boy’s well-being.
As a gesture of spiritual support, Pawan Kalyan presented sacred offerings and holy prasadam from the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple. He also provided financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh to help meet medical expenses and assured the family that special prayers would be conducted for Niranjan’s recovery at the renowned Bhadrakali Temple in Warangal. During the interaction, Pawan Kalyan viewed photographs and videos of Niranjan from his healthier days, including clips in which the teenager imitated the actor’s dance moves and mannerisms.
Niranjan fondly told him that friends and relatives used to call him “Chota Gabbar Singh,” a reference to one of Pawan Kalyan’s popular film characters. The Deputy Chief Minister also enquired about the family’s livelihood. Learning that Niranjan’s parents had previously worked in a canteen at Kakatiya Hospital, he directed Jana Sena leaders in Telangana to explore establishing a canteen business for the family to help improve their economic stability and long-term livelihood.
