Vignan’s University launched its B.Tech first-year classes on Sunday at its Deshmukhi campus in Bhoodan Pochampally mandal, with students and parents from across Telangana attending the inaugural programme.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Lavu Rathaiah, Chairman of Vignan’s Educational Institutions, said discipline, moral values, and continuous learning are the true foundations of success. He urged students to focus on personality development alongside academics and make the most of every opportunity offered by the university.
Highlighting Vignan’s academic model, he said the institution follows five key principles—faculty development, planning and training, counselling, campus recruitment training (CRT), and innovative teaching methods—to prepare students for successful careers. He added that each faculty member mentors 20 students through a dedicated counselling system to ensure academic and personal growth.
Dr. Rathaiah said the university promotes physical fitness by awarding academic credits and encourages students to participate in sports, cultural, and social activities. In-charge Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.V. Krishna Kishore advised students to remain disciplined, set clear goals, and regularly assess their progress, while Advisor Dr. Poonam Malakondaiah and Registrar Dr. P.M.V. Rao stressed lifelong learning, perseverance, and holistic development.
