Chevella BJP MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy today made sensational remarks against the Congress government and alleged that there was an attempt to hand over half of Rangareddy district to the AIMIM party. He asked the government to not divide Rangareddy district into pieces and create chaos. “The municipal division is happening without public opinion,” Reddy alleged .
Speaking to the media, Chevella BJP MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy said that the Villages surrounding Rangareddy were being merged into Charminar. “Are you handing over half of Rangareddy district to the MIM party? Do people in the Old City pay water bills and electricity bills? Why are you merging our district's people with those, who don't pay? It is not right to merge villages with a majority Hindu population into Charminar. Due to bill evasion in the Old City, the Water Board and Electricity Department are incurring losses,” he alleged.
Reddy said that Merging Rangareddy district villages with Charminar would ruin the lives of the people of their district. “We don't know how to be subservient. Our lives are not meant for servitude. Rangareddy district is the financial resource for Hyderabad. The entire district treasury was transferred to former CM KCR's farmhouse back then. Now, there is an attempt to send it into the MIM's territory. Don't merge those, who pay taxes with those who don't. There are many misconceptions about Rangareddy district. Don't divide Rangareddy district. The government should conduct a public opinion survey. We request the government to take a decision only after considering public opinion," he commented.
