Dr. Kovuri Umadevi, Assistant Professor in the Pathology Department at M.N.J. Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Center, has been selected as an Associate Fellow of the Telangana Academy of Sciences (TAS) for 2024. She received the honor from TAS President, Professor Mohan Rao, during a special event held at NGRI, Hyderabad.
Dr. Kovuri Umadevi is conducting pioneering research on early detection of cancer using Terahertz radiation and artificial intelligence-based diagnostic methods in pathology. She holds multiple patents and has published several research papers in high-impact international journals.
Additionally, she has received travel grants from reputed organizations like ICMR, SERB, and CSIR to present her work at international conferences. She represented her research in countries including the USA and Turkey, showcasing her findings on a global platform.
