Dr. Rumana Sinha Sehgal, Founder and CEO of Serendipity, appointed as Regional Mentor of Change (RMoC) for Telangana under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, Government of India.
Following rigorous rounds of national interviews, evaluations, and peer reviews, only 43 distinguished individuals have been selected for different states from across India in 2025, bringing the total cadre of RMoCs in the country to 125. It is also a hallmark moment as she is the first woman to be appointed as RMoC under the aegis of AIM, NITI Aayog for Telangana.
This highly competitive selection reflects the critical role played by these mentors in shaping the future of innovation-led education and enterprise in India. AIM, the Government of India’s flagship initiative to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, has built India’s largest mentoring network Mentor India comprising professionals and industry leaders (6200+) who guide and mentor students across 10,000 Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs).
Dr. Rumana Sinha Sehgal’s appointment as RMoC marks the beginning of year 4 of her engagement with AIM, reinforcing her steadfast commitment to nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship, enabling inclusive participation, and actively contributing to nation-building. She expressed her gratitude to AIM, NITI Aayog for the continued trust and support, and reaffirmed her resolve to contribute to AIM’s transformative vision.
