Dr. Sridhar Kasturi, Head of the Department of Cardiac Sciences and Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at KIMS-Sunshine Hospitals, Begumpet, Hyderabad, has been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Proud Son of Shatavahana Land in Service of the Noble Medical Profession.’ The honour was conferred during the 9th Indian Medical Association (IMA) Annual Telangana State Medical Conference 2025, hosted by the IMA Karimnagar Branch.

The award recognizes Dr. Kasturi’s outstanding contributions, exemplary service, and unwavering dedication to medicine and society. A special certificate and gold medal were presented at the inaugural ceremony by the organizing committee, including Dr. P Kishan, Dr. Polasa Ram Kiran, and Dr. Ch Vijay Kumar.

Serving also as Secretary of the Interventional Cardiologists Forum, Dr. Kasturi expressed his humility: ‘This award reflects our collective commitment to serving the community with the highest standards of care.’ His presence inspired young doctors and underscored advancements in interventional cardiology.
