District Collector Kumar Deepak has instructed officials and rice mill operators to ensure there is no delay in transporting paddy procured through government centers to the allocated rice mills and godowns. On Thursday, the Collector visited Vasavi Rice Mill at Andugulapet in Mandamarri Mandal along with District Civil Supplies Officer Brahmarao, District Manager Sreekala, and Mandamarri Mandal Tahsildar Satish Kumar. He inspected the paddy procurement and processing operations on the ground.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector Kumar Deepak directed that paddy purchased at procurement centers should be promptly shifted to the designated rice mills and godowns as per the allocation orders. He stressed that the entire process of moving and taking delivery of the paddy should be completed without any delay. He also asked the authorities to increase the number of hamalis (labourers) as per requirement to speed up operations.
The Collector urged rice millers to make every effort to achieve the assigned targets at the earliest. Later, the Collector inspected the State Warehousing Corporation Godown at Naspur Mandal Centre, accompanied by the District Civil Supplies Officer, District Manager, and Naspur Mandal Tahsildar Santosh. He instructed officials to ensure quick intake of the paddy brought from procurement centers, store it as per norms, and make arrangements to transport it further as and when fresh orders are issued.
