A participant shared, “The path was lit up not just with torches alone, but also with the croak sounds of frogs echoing throughout the night. One could hear all kinds of frogs like paddy field frogs, bull frogs and narrow mouthed frogs croaking together.”
The adventure deepened with the encounters of giant forest scorpions and two common kraits silently crossing paths. Safety, respect, and learning were applied throughout the walk as the group was guided on how to observe without disturbing the natural rhythm by expert naturalists Akhil, Suman and Aparanjani. As the night ended, the dawn opened with birdsong.
The Bird Walk, under a fresh sun revealed beautiful sights like the grey-bellied Cuckoo, blue-faced Malkoha, black-shouldered Kites and more. The reward of both the walks was not just rare sightings, but a deep sense of connection, joy and wonder. Executive Director of Eco-Tourism L.
