‘EPIC’ is an emotional love story: Anand Deverakonda

Youthful entertainer ‘EPIC – FIRST SEMESTER’, starring Baby fame Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, is gearing up for its theatrical release on September 11. The film marks the directorial debut of Aditya Hasan, known for the popular Telugu web series 90s. Presented by Srikara Studios and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film has generated considerable interest among young audiences.

Ahead of the release, Anand Deverakonda said EPIC is an ordinary love story told in an emotionally engaging manner. He recalled Trivikram’s view that compelling storytelling does not necessarily require twists or violence. The film follows Aditya, a young man from Wanaparthy who sacrifices his ambitions to pursue education abroad for his family. His experiences overseas, changing outlook on life and relationship with Kadali form the core of the story.

Anand said he could personally relate to Aditya, having studied in the United States. He believes the film will connect with youngsters who have lived away from their families. He described Vaishnavi’s Kadali as a relatable character portraying the hidden struggles behind a cheerful exterior.
