District Collector Pratima Singh has directed officials to strictly implement a facial verification process for beneficiaries receiving government pensions in the district. She reviewed the arrangements during a meeting held at the Collectorate on Tuesday.

The Collector stated that Medak town has been selected as a pilot project for the facial authentication initiative. As part of this project, pension beneficiaries will undergo verification through a mobile application to ensure transparency and accuracy in disbursement.

The process will be carried out on Tuesday and Wednesday in wards 7, 20, 21, and 22 of Medak town. Ward officers and MEPMA staff have been divided into four teams to conduct the verification smoothly.

Officials said that a detailed report will be submitted to the government after completion of the process. The initiative aims to identify genuine beneficiaries and remove deceased persons from the pension scheme.

DRDA Srinivas Rao, SERP Director Social Security Gopal, Project Manager Govardhan, TG Online representatives, and other staff participated.
