On credible information, the sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team, along with Musheerabad police arrested an individual who is impersonating as a Forest beat officer or Police officer and fraudulently collecting money from people by promising them government jobs.

Accused person was identified as Konakanchi Kiran Kumar (30), resident of Sri Krishna Nagar, Yousufguda in Hyderabad. Police have seized fake Forest beat officer ID card, three name plates, Two-Wheeler with a Police Siren, Khaki Uniform, Forest department beat officer logo, two mobile phones and net cash Rs 5,45,000 from the arrested person.

During the investigation, the accused, K Kiran Kumar, confessed to impersonating as a Forest department beat officer or as Police constable. He was found patrolling public areas while wearing a police uniform and riding a motorcycle bearing the word ‘POLICE’ and equipped with a siren, thereby misleading the public by projecting a false sense of authority.

Kiran Kumar further admitted to acting as a mediator, fraudulently promising government jobs in exchange for money from unsuspecting youth.
