The initiative follows the government’s “One State, One RRB” policy under which 26 Regional Rural Banks operating across 11 states and Union Territories were consolidated, with effect from May 1, 2025

The Finance Ministry on Thursday unveiled a new common logo for Regional Rural Banks (RRBs), marking a significant step towards establishing a single, unified brand identity for these rural-focused financial institutions across the country.

The initiative follows the government’s “One State, One RRB” policy under which 26 Regional Rural Banks operating across 11 states and Union Territories were consolidated, with effect from May 1, 2025. The reform is aimed at creating stronger, more efficient and financially sustainable RRBs capable of better serving rural and semi-urban areas.

Despite the recent amalgamation, 28 RRBs continue to operate nationwide, collectively managing an extensive network of over 22,000 branches spread across more than 700 districts. To reflect this consolidation and enhance visibility, the Department of Financial Services under the Ministry of Finance has introduced a single logo to be adopted by all RRBs.

According to the Finance Ministry, the new logo is designed to strengthen the identity and recognisability of RRBs while reinforcing their shared mission of financial inclusion and rural development. The colour scheme has been carefully chosen, with dark blue representing trust and financial stability, and green symbolising life, growth and a strong connection to rural India.

The common branding is expected to provide RRBs with a modern, distinct and easily identifiable national presence.
