A fire broke out in the recently commissioned third unit of Yadadri Thermal Power Station in Nalgonda district of Telangana on Sunday, police said.
"No one was injured in the incident which occurred at around noon and the blaze was brought under control," a senior Police official informed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, he said.Thick black smoke emanated from the place, though police described it as a "minor" fire.The third unit of Yadadri Thermal Power Station was commissioned last week. The thermal power plant with five units with a capacity of 800 MW each, is located at Veerlapalem Village, Damaracherla Mandal, Nalgonda district.
