A fire mock drill was conducted at the Telangana State Police Integrated Command & Control Centre (TG ICCC) building in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad on Monday, under the supervision of TG ICCC Director V B Kamalasan Reddy, IPS (Retired). Various departments participated, including the Fire, Medical, Municipal, NDRF, R&B, Electricity, Water Works, Hyderabad City Police, and 108 Ambulance Services.
The primary goal of the drill was to ensure employees understand safe evacuation procedures and self-protection methods in case of emergencies. Kamalasan Reddy highlighted the building’s height—83.26 meters—and the risks for those on upper floors. He stressed the need for swift fire containment and the effective use of safety equipment. A Fire Marshal, along with an assistant, will be appointed on each floor to guide employees and report missing persons. Monthly drills will be conducted every first Saturday.
