Bharat Rashtra Samithi Working President K.T. Rama Rao has stressed the need to demonstrate the party’s unmatched strength in Hyderabad through the Jubilee Hills by-election. He urged Greater Hyderabad leaders to secure a resounding victory for BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha Gopinath and set the stage for success in the forthcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections.
KTR, on Saturday, convened a strategic meeting at Telangana Bhavan with party leaders, including MLAs, MLCs, corporators, and former corporators from Greater Hyderabad, to plan for the upcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election.
He emphasised the trust Hyderabad’s citizens have consistently placed in BRS, electing its candidates in past polls. He called for unified efforts to honour this faith by showcasing the party’s legacy of transformative development under former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
“From the Strategic Road Development Programme’s flyovers to the 20,000-litre free drinking water scheme, uninterrupted water supply, modern sanitation systems, and extensive welfare programs, BRS uplifted every household and street in Hyderabad,” he said, instructing leaders to remind voters of these achievements.
Simultaneously, KTR directed the cadre to expose the Congress government’s failures over the past 22 months, highlighting the sharp decline in basic civic services like sanitation, drinking water supply, and drainage maintenance.
He accused Congress of neglecting Hyderabad’s development in favour of political gains, betraying voters with false promises. “The people must know how Congress has let Hyderabad deteriorate,” he asserted, urging leaders to engage every section of society to reveal the ruling party’s empty assurances.
KTR expressed confidence that a BRS victory in Jubilee Hills would signal a strong comeback in the GHMC elections, declaring, “The pink flag has flown high over GHMC twice before, and it will rise again.”
He also predicted imminent disqualifications of Congress MLAs who defected from BRS, potentially triggering by-elections in Khairatabad, Serilingampally, and other constituencies statewide.
KTR rallied leaders to work tirelessly for a larger majority, emphasising outreach to voters to highlight BRS’s development and welfare record. With a clear strategy and unified resolve, BRS aims to reclaim its dominance in Hyderabad, starting with a decisive win in Jubilee Hills.
