Hyderabad: A public meet was held on Tuesday at Maheshwari Bhavan, Begum Bazaar, under the leadership of Founder Panel Chairman candidate Bhangadiya Kailash Narayan, as part of the campaign for the AP Mahesh Co-operative Urban Bank Election 2025. Speaking at the event, Bhangadiya Kailash Narayan reiterated his commitment to restoring confidence in Mahesh Bank and strengthening its governance. The Founder Panel concluded the meeting by reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding member interests, rebuilding trust, and ensuring ethical governance across all operations of Mahesh Bank.
In relation to ongoing regulatory developments, the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Hyderabad Zonal Office provisionally attached two immovable properties valued at Rs 1.1 crs at Adibatla Village, Ibrahimpatnam Mandal, Ranga Reddy District registered in the name of Rohit Asawa, son of Umesh Chand Asawa, former Managing Director & CEO of the bank. According to the ED’s findings, Umesh Chand Asawa had sanctioned loans to M/s Biomax Fuels Ltd. and its group concerns by accepting third-party property that was already under litigation as collateral.
