The Commissioner’s Task Force, Secunderabad Zone, along with Gandhi Nagar police, busted an illegal LPG cylinder black marketing racket at IDH Colony, New Bhoiguda, and arrested four persons for selling commercial gas cylinders at inflated prices to local customers. The accused include two gas delivery boys, a driver acting as mediator, and a customer.

Police seized 129 commercial cylinders, including 25 filled and 104 empty, along with a goods vehicle, a two-wheeler, four mobile phones and cash of Rs 26,700. The total value of seized property is estimated at Rs 7.5 lakh. Police said the delivery boys diverted cylinders from their agency and supplied them to the mediator at higher rates, who then sold them to small hotels and tiffin centres for up to Rs 5,000 each, exploiting demand for illegal profit.
