Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force, Charminar Zone, along with Keesara police, arrested three habitual house burglars and a receiver of stolen property on March 10 and recovered stolen valuables worth about Rs 13 lakh.

The police seized 65 grams of gold ornaments, 400 grams of silver ornaments, three two-wheelers — a Pulsar NS 200, Honda CB Twister and Suzuki Burgman scooter — and seven mobile phones from the accused. The arrests helped police detect two burglary cases registered at Uppal and Keesara police stations in February this year.

The arrested persons were identified as Munithani Amar Raj Kumar Reddy alias Doll (28) of Amberpet, Abdul Lateef Khan alias Salman (32) of Shaheen Nagar, Gulam Hussain Khan alias Rehan Khan (32) of Bandlaguda and Gopalapuram Praneeth Chary alias Laddu (24), a goldsmith from Uppuguda.

According to the police, Amar Raj Kumar Reddy is a habitual offender involved in about 88 house burglary and property offence cases since 2010. He was earlier detained twice under the Preventive Detention Act and had recently been released on bail in January 2026.

After coming out on bail, he allegedly formed a gang with the other accused and committed house burglaries and two-wheeler thefts in Uppal and Keesara areas. The stolen gold and silver ornaments were later sold to Praneeth Chary.

Police also executed four long-pending non-bailable warrants against Amar Raj Kumar Reddy. The accused were produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody.
