Chilkalguda Police have arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in a pre-planned armed dacoity at Jyoti Medical Hall in Padma Rao Nagar, Secunderabad, while efforts are underway to nab the remaining accused, including the masterminds.

According to police, the incident occurred in the early hours of June 28 when a gang of masked men, armed with knives, overpowered two security guards, threatened them with death, snatched their mobile phones and confined them on a staircase. The gang then used gas-cutting equipment to break into the penthouse and searched the premises for cash, escaping with Rs.27,500 from the medical shop and Rs.2,500 from the two guards.

The arrested accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
